Tasting Notes
This is a Premium Napa Cabernet from a winery just south of Atlas Peak in Wooden Valley.
Tasting notes: Aged in 100% french oak, 15% new. Balanced in oak, tannins and acidity. Beautiful wine. Dark crimson in color, aroma’s of cedar, cola and cherry lead to flavors of rugged field spice, blueberry, tobacco and cherry. Well balanced tannins enhance the individual characteristics of this wine.
Region: This wine came from a single vineyard in Wooden Valley a small location in the southeastern corner of Napa Valley just outside of Atlas Peak. The terrain is rugged and undeveloped. The area avoided the smoke tainting that occurred to many Napa wines in the 2017 harvest, because of it’s far southern location.
