What We Do
Pentagon Wines is a new kind of wine club licensed to sell in Texas.
Many wineries limit their bottling or sometimes their harvest yields grapes that produce more wine than they would use. This extra production of wine is sold on the market at a reduced price. Pentagon Wines buys this overproduction wine from great wineries in Napa, Walla Walla Valley, Yakima, Sonoma, etc., bottle it under our own label, and sell it to our members at a price which is 60% to 80% percent LOWER than the wineries. Often we have to sign non-disclosure documents which state we cannot disclose where the wine came from.
The Pentagon Wine Story
My wife and I started drinking cheap wine and graduated to better wine. When friends would come over we would go through 3, 4 or more bottles . . . at $40 or more each!!
I said to my wife, “I like our friends, but I am not spending a couple hundred dollars on wine when they don’t even know what a good wine is!! I like them, but not that much!!” LOL
Then I started looking for great wines at everyday prices and found a lucky bottle here and there but couldn’t find great inexpensive wine regularly. One day, while surfing the Internet, I found I could buy overproduction wines from high-end wineries. I looked into what it would cost and how I could do it myself. After getting all the required federal and state licenses, we now get GREAT WINE FOR EVERYDAY PRICES!!
Our First Order
We assembled a small group of other wine enthusiasts and bought four cabernets from Napa – two superior cabernets and two ultra-premium cabernets. Our cost for the superior cabernets was around $13 which would sell in the respective wineries from $65 to $85, and our cost for the premium cabernets was around $25 which would sell in wineries from $120 to $160. We realized we can offer the same deal to others who would like to participate in our offerings. By joining our club and ordering through Pentagon, you can enjoy these great wines at everyday wine prices.
How the Membership Works
Three or four times a year, Pentagon will offer new wines to its members. Members can go online and order the number of cases of each wine that they want.
There is no obligation to order every quarter.
- Choose how many cases you want to buy of each varietal of each offering – no order requirements.
- Pre-pay approximately 60 days before the wine is available for pickup – great prices because no cost of inventory.
- If interested in using for a gift, or just want a customized label, add $0.50 more per bottle. Supply us with your artwork or have our designer make one for you here.
- We expect members will be all in (before tax) at around $12.50 per bottle for the Superior Club wines and $25 per bottle for the Premium Club wines.
- You can participate in the Superior Wine Offerings or the Premium Wine Offerings or both.
- No obligations to order every quarter.
- We cannot guarantee the same wine every year because the same wineries may not have excess production every year. However, the quality will not change.
- You will pick-up your wine at our location in Rockwall County. Shipping will be extra once we find a suitable shipping provider.
- 50% discount on all Pentagon wines in our wine shop.
